The main purpose of content marketing is to attract visitors to your website or social media so that you can convert them from Strangers to Visitors, then take them further along their buying journey. Before, we used cold calling, email campaigns to various lists that we purchased, TV broadcasting our wares to everyone around, and other aggressive Push methods. Now we’ve turned the ball around – we use “Honey” to draw the people that will really want our products. We do this by constantly creating or curating relevant and valuable-to-our-audience content with the intention of changing or enhancing consumer behavior. It is a continuous process that is integrated into your overall marketing strategy.
In a word, Content Marketing is providing a value – be it information or knowledge, in the form of Whitepapers, Best Methods, Tips, and more, that will make the customer more knowledgeable. It’s Inbound, not Outbound. More and more companies are changing their marketing methods in this direction, understanding that Good Content is very important, providing an increase in ROI.
